The Hermitage-Kazan Museum and Exhibition Center is located in the former Junker School building, which is part of the Kazan Kremlin complex. This project was created with the active support of the State Hermitage.
The first exhibitions were held here in 1997: visitors then saw the exhibition “Treasures of Khan Kubrat”. Since then, exhibitions have been held here on a regular basis.
The exhibition halls are equipped with the latest technology and are wonderfully adapted for displaying collections of painting, sculpture, decorative art, and historical artifacts.
Hermitage-Kazan also has specialized computer classrooms where educational programs are held for both schoolchildren and adults.
In addition, the museum and exhibition center is used as a lecture hall and a place where conferences and seminars are often organized. Thus, Hermitage-Kazan takes on the role of the city's cultural and educational center.
