The Nature Museum will give you an amazing journey into the world of the flora and fauna of Vladimir Oblast. Unlike traditional collections, it stands out with lively and vivid exhibitions; there are almost no boring glass display cases with dull Latin labels here. The museum introduces its visitors to the natural world of the local region through colorful dioramas, models, and natural specimens.
For example, at the entrance to the building you will pass huge cutaway blocks of rock, where you can clearly see how the earth's crust was formed over the course of 300 million years. In the next hall you will see beavers by a dam, a battle of mighty bears, the hidden den of a fierce wolf, and the homes of other forest dwellers, made so skillfully that it feels as if you have suddenly found yourself in a real forest. The impression is enhanced by the sounds of forest birds singing and chirping, as well as the voices of animals coming from hidden speakers.
The Nature Museum also has an interactive Forest School, where all the exhibits and specimens can and should be touched by hand, allowing you to make your own little discoveries about the secrets of forest life. Young visitors, and adults too, especially like the unusual scales, which tell you your weight in hedgehogs, elk, and other animals. For example, a 3-4-year-old child weighs 13 hedgehogs and about 1/18 of an elk :)
