The Exhibition Center opened in Vladimir in 2011 and immediately became the center of the city's cultural life. Special attention is paid here to the development of spiritual values, as well as the memory of events and things that shaped the nation.
To launch this center, an exhibition dedicated to Orthodoxy and the history of religion in Vladimir Oblast was chosen. The theme was illustrated through the example of a women's monastery in Murom, where the relics of Saints Peter and Fevronia are kept. Especially for this exhibition, children from ordinary secular families and the monastery's students created drawings for the competition "An Icon Through a Child's Eyes," and the jury, headed by Nikas Safronov, awarded prizes to the best works.
Another exhibition introduced visitors to the work of people with disabilities who realize their talents in painting, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. These touching works possess incredible depth, because their creators are much more sensitive and open than ordinary people caught up in the rhythm of life.
