Visiting the Aquarium and Tiger Zoo on Samui will allow you to get better acquainted with the mysterious and exotic world of Thailand's fauna, because not everyone can go diving to see the underwater world or head into the jungle on an excursion to wild animals.
The aquarium and zoo are located in the southern part of the island, not far from Natien Beach. The main part of the exhibition is devoted to underwater inhabitants. The aquariums are located in special rooms designed as long corridors. On the sides, behind glass in illuminated niches, surrounded by bright corals and algae, various fish and marine animals swim.
There are a great many fish here - from small and colorful ones to large gloomy sharks, rays, and moray eels. You can also see unusual sea urchins and giant turtles here. Some aquariums are open, and in them you can feed the turtles or fish yourself.
Predatory tigers and leopards are kept in spacious enclosures. At the end of the tour, for a moderate fee, the bravest visitors can even have their picture taken hugging a live tiger. In addition to predators and fish, there are also birds here, parrots traditional for Thailand, and monkeys.
