If snakes, scorpions, centipedes, and other "delights" of equatorial countries do not scare you, then the Snake Farm on Samui Island is worth a visit. However, even if you are afraid of slippery and crawling creatures, the Snake Farm will still be interesting to you.
The farm is located in the Taling-Ngam area, in the western part of the island. It is a zoo almost entirely dedicated to snakes and some insects. The reptiles live in terrariums, aquariums, and cages; they are quite comfortable here, and visitors feel completely safe.
Extreme shows are held here daily, and many brave spectators come to watch them. During the performance with snakes - cobras, pythons, and other reptiles - the trainer performs fantastic tricks, plays with them, and almost kisses them. This is not a spectacle for the faint-hearted.
An even more shocking performance for a European begins when scorpions and centipedes enter the stage, and the trainer allows them to crawl all over his body and even sting him.
Visitors can hold the snakes in their hands and take pictures with them, if such a desire suddenly arises. By the way, the administration provides free medical assistance in case of a bite, so there is nothing to fear.
