Surrounded on all sides by capes, it resembles a cove more - cozy and romantic. The shoreline forms a crescent, which makes the beach visible and open from all sides.
At the same time, the entire coast is lined with palm trees, which gives this place a special charm. The beach is miniature, stretching only 1.6 kilometers. The sea near the shore is shallow, which makes swimming relatively safe for children. Yoga classes take place right on the shore. All visitors are allowed to stay overnight here, which is strictly prohibited in many other places.
Palolem Beach is rich in shacks and all kinds of cafes. They serve both European and traditional Indian cuisine. But whatever familiar dish you choose for yourself, here it will still seem different to you. It is all about the local spices, with which the cooks skillfully transform the food. By the way, at the local mini-markets you can buy any seasonings you like.
As for entertainment, there is a highly unusual nightclub here, "Neptune Point," with "silent" music: all its guests are given players with a variety of melodies and headphones for them. People dancing in silence, each in their own way, are an amusing sight.
Another feature of Palolem is the presence of islands that were formed when sections of land were separated by the river. Some of them can only be reached by boat. But regardless of which island you choose for your excursion, listen to this advice: go there either at sunrise or at sunset; at these moments the islands are indescribably beautiful.
