Without a doubt, Patong Beach remains Phuket's most popular beach: you only need to come here and see the crowds of cheerful tourists to witness this for yourself. The beach is very crowded, since it offers its visitors a full range of all kinds of entertainment.
This is Phuket's main hangout spot - with clubs of various kinds, shopping centers, massage parlors, bars, restaurants, and other attributes of Thai resort life. For lovers of active recreation, there are water skiing, yacht rentals, diving, fishing, and beach volleyball.
Proximity to the island's capital, Phuket Town, provides access to extensive entertainment and shopping infrastructure. In the center of Patong, you can find the Jungceylon shopping center, where you can buy almost anything.
Many people come to Patong Beach, but because of the entertainment they do not even have time to swim or sunbathe. By the way, the sand here is wonderful, and the sea, while not the cleanest on Phuket, is still quite decent.
