The center of nightlife in Phuket can confidently be called Bangla Road, which adjoins Patong Beach. After sunset, the local establishments open their doors, the music comes on, vacationers start gathering, and the fun begins.
Bangla Road is small - less than 400 meters long, and alleys filled with entertainment venues branch off from it in all directions. Each side street has its own selection of bars and clubs, often themed. It creates a whole district devoted to club life, alcoholic drinks, and entertainment of varying degrees of legality. Bringing minors here is категорically not recommended.
Closer to midnight, the street fills with thousands of tourists from all over the world who want to relax and get their share of exotic pleasures. At your service are plenty of clubs, bars, discos, restaurants, and simple eateries. Here it is easy to lose track of time and come to your senses only toward dawn, not knowing where you are or who you are with, often with an empty wallet and hazy memories.
In April, during the Thai New Year - Songkran, the street becomes an arena for street battles using water pistols and water guns.
