This is a very atmospheric restaurant where visitors can watch their dishes being prepared: there is no wall between the kitchen and the dining room. But at the same time - neither smell nor noise! And the food is always delicious and fresh. This special feature was appreciated not only by guests, but also by restaurant critics. “U Kucharzy” has been awarded the special “Bib Gourmand” distinction, which is given only to establishments that offer good food at a moderate price.
The restaurant's interior is somewhat reminiscent of the style of Soviet canteens: white tiled walls, a checkered floor, snow-white tablecloths, and chairs covered in white slipcovers. By the way, the waiters and kitchen staff are also dressed in white tops and checkered bottoms.
Another pleasant feature: if all the waiters are busy, your order may be brought by the chef himself, and then you will know exactly whom to thank for the delicious treat.
The restaurant's menu cannot be called very diverse; it fits quite well on a single page. But the dishes on offer are prepared superbly. Many people come here on the recommendation of friends, so they mostly order the same things. The steak tartare, hare in sour cream, as well as the crayfish cream soup have won the best reviews from visitors. By the way, the business lunches here are very cheap, by our standards - only about 200 rubles.
