This square appeared in Warsaw at the very beginning of the XV century. Almost all the buildings that stood around it were destroyed during World War II, so today the space is surrounded by modern buildings styled to look old. They were built from old photographs that survived from the prewar years.
But there is also an "old-timer" on the square. A cast-iron well that appeared here in the XIX century. By the way, it is still working, so anyone who wishes can quench their thirst. At the top of the well there is a girl with a unicorn - the coat of arms of New Warsaw.
Opposite the well stands the majestic St. Casimir Church. It, too, was restored from photographs after the devastating bombings, but the organ and bells remained from its predecessor.
You can meet quite a lot of tourists on New Town Market Square, because there are so many attractions nearby! Very close by is the Maria Sklodowska-Curie Museum, behind St. Casimir Church a large park begins, and on the square itself there is a summer cafe where in the heat you can shelter in the shade of spreading trees.
