One of Warsaw's most spectacular attractions is located in the “Podzamcze” park, not far from the city's historic center.
The Multimedia Fountain Park was opened in 2011. It includes two water complexes: one is the main fountain, somewhat resembling an elongated drop, while the other is a line of rectangular fountains 125 m long.
Every year from May to September, multimedia shows are held here. Famous classical pieces and popular hits are played, and to this music hundreds of jets of water soar into the air. Every second, more than 500 liters of water flow out of 370 nozzles. Moreover, each jet is illuminated from below by a special spotlight, creating the impression that the water is constantly changing to blue, red, and green.
This entire water extravaganza lasts 30 minutes. But it is better to come here in advance, as the best spots are taken as early as half an hour before the show begins. When the sky starts to grow dark, the first chords of famous musical compositions can already be heard, and the laser animation begins. On a huge water screen, you can see scenes about the life and attractions of Warsaw. City legends and historical scenes flash before the eyes of hundreds of spectators.
