This is a one-of-a-kind museum that brings together writing instruments from different countries and eras. Its original name is “VON World Pens Hall”, where “VON” stands for “Vladimiros Ouloupis Niros”, that is, “the dream of Vladimir Ouloupis.”
As you may have guessed, Vladimir Ouloupis is the founder of the museum.
The story of his unusual passion began in November 1998, when Vladimir received a pen as a birthday gift. The giver probably knew about the celebrant's secret passion, but could hardly have imagined that this gift would mark the beginning of a unique collection.
The museum now houses more than 500 exhibits – fountain pens and mechanical pens, pencils from the Victorian era, inkwells, stamps, seals, letter openers, and other vintage items. Many of them are one-of-a-kind and extremely rare pieces. If visitors want to learn more about them, they can visit a special reading room with all the necessary information.
In addition, the museum has a stationery shop featuring global brands that make writing instruments, as well as a pen enthusiasts' club located on the roof of the three-story mansion.
