The natural wonders of Bali never cease to amaze. Even if it seems to you that you have seen enough, visit the Bird Park, and you will understand that the diversity and brilliance of Indonesian fauna know no bounds. The park stretches across two hectares not far from one of Bali's cultural capitals, the city of Ubud.
The park is home to more than 250 species of feathered creatures brought from Africa, South America, and all corners of Indonesia. The creators of the park tried to give the birds as much freedom of movement as possible within the bounds of an enclosed exhibition, so that they would not feel as if they were in a zoo. The park grounds represent an ideal natural environment: several thousand tropical plants, including 50 species of palms, create a unique atmosphere of equatorial forests and fields here.
The park's bird collection is considered the largest in the world. You will be able to see flying predators, graceful flamingos, funny talking parrots, exotic toucans, dignified peacocks, and many other wonderful creatures. There are even penguins living in a separate pond. The pride of the park is the Bali starlings, which are practically not found in the wild.
Visitors are allowed to feed the birds, hold them in their hands, and take pictures with them.
