From the outside, the museum resembles an observatory – it has an egg-shaped dome where educational films and “sky shows” are screened. The diameter of the museum dome's hemispherical screen is 23 meters, and projections of stars and planets on it are plain to see.
The museum is divided into several halls. Some of them are exhibition halls, while others are interactive. By visiting them, you will learn what arrows and rockets have in common, see models of many different spacecraft, and discover the world of science fiction through writers' ideas brought to life.
Many of the technologies presented here are the most advanced in the world. The museum planetarium is the only fully automated one in the world. For example, a solar or lunar eclipse can be created with the simple press of a button.
A special section features devices that allow visitors to feel like conquerors of the skies and airless space. For example, test your body's capabilities in a gyroscope that constantly changes its axis of rotation. You can “land” on the lunar surface and experience the properties of different gravity for yourself: the force of gravity here will be 8 times weaker than on Earth!
If you do not intend to fly that far away from your home planet, at least try a hang glider flight. Full immersion is possible thanks to the enormous screen on which you will see the trajectory of your flight over the Grand Canyon. Just be careful, many people “crash” into a sheer cliff here.
