Menara Kuala Lumpur (Malay: Menara Kuala Lumpur, commonly Menara KL) is the official name of the Kuala Lumpur TV tower. Construction of the 421 meter building lasted about 5 years. Among telecommunications structures, Menara ranks 7th, behind Tokyo Skytree (Japan) 634 m, Guangzhou TV Tower (China) 610 m, CN Tower in Toronto (Canada) 553 m, Ostankino Tower in Moscow (Russia) 540 m, Oriental Pearl in Shanghai (China) 468 m, and Borj-e Milad in Tehran (Iran) 435 m. For its original lighting, Menara KL received the unofficial name 'Garden of Light'. Construction of the tower lasted from 4 October 1991 to May 1996. The construction chronology can be divided into 4 phases[1]: The design of the tourist facilities reflects the classical Islamic culture of Malaysia. Petronas is an 88-story skyscraper. Height - 451,9 meters. It is located in the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. The Prime Minister of Malaysia, Mahathir Mohamad, took part in designing the skyscraper and proposed building the structures in an 'Islamic' style. Therefore, in plan the complex consists of two eight-pointed stars, and the architect added semicircular projections for stability. 6 years were allocated for construction (1992-1998). The towers were built by two different companies to create competition and increase productivity. During geological surveys, it became clear that the proposed construction site lay partly on the edge of rock and partly on soft limestone. After building such heavy towers on that site, one of them would inevitably have subsided. As a result, the buildings were moved entirely onto soft ground, shifted by 60 meters, and piles were driven to a depth of more than 100 meters. At the moment, this is the largest concrete foundation in the world.

The grand Aquaria KLCC aquarium is located right in the center of Kuala Lumpur, next to the Petronas twin towers, and it is not hard to find. Much harder is to leave it, because we assume that you simply will not want to part with the amazing underwater world here.

Aquaria KLCC is a whole entertainment complex, not just an aquarium with rare fish. It occupies an area of several thousand sq.m on two levels of the Convention Center building.

About 5000 species of various fish and amphibians are presented here. In the aquariums, you can observe a variety of marine and ocean life such as crabs, starfish, turtles, or piranhas. In addition to aquatic inhabitants, you will see spiders, snakes, snails, and other interesting creatures.

The tour ends with an incredible aquarium tunnel about one hundred meters long. Walking through it, you feel as if you are really descending into the depths of the ocean and strolling alongside predatory sharks, giant turtles, or electric rays. We have no doubt that even Captain Nemo would envy you!

The Petrosains natural science museum will be interesting both to those who have already forgotten their school physics and chemistry lessons, and to children who still have to memorize boring rules and formulas. In this interactive museum, you can easily and joyfully learn the basic laws and phenomena of physics, see simple examples of complex chemical reactions, and discover many new things about prehistoric animals and their habitats.

The museum is located in the Petronas twin towers; you will find the entrance on the 4th floor of Kuala Lumpur City Centre, and Petrosains itself occupies the 4th and 5th floors of both towers, with an area of about 6500 sq.m.

All the museum's installations and exhibits can and should be touched; you must switch on or launch most of them yourself, thereby taking part in the demonstration of scientific experiments. Near each exhibit there is a plaque with instructions, and it is, of course, written in English, so it is advisable to bring a dictionary or a knowledgeable friend with you if English is not your strong suit.

At the Petrosains museum, you will be able to observe how optical illusions work, watch an incredibly beautiful shadow theater with your participation, play interactive games, and learn the history of the extraction and use of petrol. The installation in the form of a petrol platform and the fascinating exhibition dedicated to the importance of using this fuel in the modern world are a tribute to Petronas, Malaysia's largest oil and gas giant, which founded this museum.

The full name of this center sounds almost like a magic spell - Suria Kuala Lumpur City Centre. It is located on the first six floors of the Petronas twin towers.

While walking through this shopping complex, you will never see an empty pavilion with the sign 'For Lease', because tenants line up to get in here. For the world's most famous companies, having a presence in KLCC is a matter of prestige. That is why even the most discerning shoppers will find brands here at their usual level: Chanel, Tiffany, Prada, Hermes, Gucci, etc. Among the mass-market representatives, there are such brands as Mango, Zara, Esprit. But was it worth traveling so far to see the same stores as in Moscow? Perhaps it is worth paying attention to local brands that sell clothing with an Eastern flavor. On the ground level, you can find all kinds of souvenirs, traditional sweets, teas, and other little things.

Considering that everything here is not just expensive but very expensive, most tourists come simply to look around, grab a bite in a cafe, stroll through the aquarium, or visit the local movie theater.

Central Park is especially interesting for children: several large play complexes have been built for them, as well as pools that are shallow but always cool, so even adults love to splash around in them on a hot day.

In the evenings, the fountain lights come on, and a large number of local residents and guests of Kuala Lumpur gather to stroll to pleasant music or have dinner in the cafe in the park. Tourists prefer to relax here after excursions to the Aquaria aquarium or after shopping in the Suria shopping center, which is nearby, within a few minutes' walk.
