One of the most impressive shopping centers in Finland is located a few minutes' drive from Helsinki Airport, in the capital's satellite city of Vantaa. The enormous area of about 85000 sq.m earned 'Jumbo' the title of the largest shopping center in Europe. True, since 1999 this title has passed several times to other, newer shopping centers, but nevertheless, 'Jumbo' remains one of the most beloved places for shopping in Finland.
The popularity of the shopping center is explained by its huge selection: 120 specialized stores, boutiques, and shops, as well as the large hypermarkets K-City, Prisma, Anttila, and Stockmann serve tens of thousands of shoppers every day.
Fashion boutiques feature such well-known clothing and accessory brands as H&M, Mango, Zara, Ecco, Esprit, Accessorize, and many other Scandinavian and European brands.
The food court of the 'Jumbo' shopping center consists of 15 restaurants and cafes, including pizzerias and sushi bars, coffee shops and pastry shops, including the famous Finnish pastry shop of the Fazer Café chain. The Fazer corporation has been operating in Finland since 1891 and is known for its baked goods, confectionery, and candies. You should definitely try their sweets in the local cafeteria and buy the famous chocolate candies as souvenirs for friends.
