The Catholic Church of the Holy Rosary is located in the Brickfields district, well known as a place with a concentration of places of worship of various faiths. In addition to the aforementioned church, there are the Hindu temple Sri Kandaswamy, the Buddhist temple Maha Vihara, the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, as well as the Three Teachings Chinese Temple and the Temple of Fine Arts.
The Church of the Holy Rosary was built by a French missionary in the Neo-Gothic style in 1903. The architecture of the building shows numerous Gothic features of the churches of Western Europe: the presence of a spire above the structure, a richly decorated facade with carved details. The entire church seems to soar upward. The interior of the church is also striking for its abundance of elongated pointed windows and the multicolored glow of the stained-glass windows.
