The former palace, now the luxury boutique hotel Carcosa Seri Negara, is located 5 km from the center of Kuala Lumpur, on a hilltop overlooking the Lake Gardens.
The hotel has only 5 rooms, each of which is a true work of art. The hotel is surrounded by 16 hectares of tropical gardens. Guests have access to a tennis court and a golf course.
The hotel building, constructed at the end of the 19th century, previously housed the British representative office. Throughout its history, it was intended as a residence for the governor of the British territories and other notable historical figures of the Malay Federation.
Today, it is one of the most luxurious hotels in Kuala Lumpur, with lavish Victorian-style rooms equipped with modern technology. The hotel's dining room serves exquisite dishes of contemporary French cuisine. The Gulai House restaurant, which offers wonderful panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, serves refined Malay dishes. And in the lounge, as a tribute to the history of this place, you can enjoy traditional English afternoon tea.
