One of the highest observation decks in Asia is the Tiger Sky Tower, an innovative version of a Ferris wheel.
An observation tower usually consists of a stationary panoramic platform at the top and an elevator or stairs that allow you to go up. In Singapore, everything is the opposite - the observation deck is made in the form of a round cabin with huge windows that slowly moves to the top of the tower shaft. The cabin accommodates more than 70 people and is equipped with a ventilation and air-conditioning system.
Having reached the maximum height, it begins to rotate slowly around its axis. You will have an excellent opportunity both to enjoy magnificent views and to take photos from a bird's-eye view. The Tiger Sky Tower is 131 meters high - approximately the level of the 50th floor.
The 15-minute ride will give you a lot of pleasure from the panoramic view of Sentosa Island and Singapore, and in good weather even the neighboring countries - Malaysia and Indonesia - can be seen.
This tower used to be called the "Carlsberg Sky Tower," as Carlsberg beer sponsored its construction in 2004. Later, the tower was renamed Tiger Sky - a huge tiger is painted on the underside of the cabin, which can be seen when it rises upward.
The Tiger Sky Tower also operates after dark, offering a magical picture of the shining metropolis against the backdrop of the black sea. The tower's mechanisms are checked daily, so malfunctions in the elevator cabin are ruled out, and you can confidently rise into the sky.
