Gardens by the Bay is one of the most recognizable, most fantastic, and most beautiful landscape parks in the world. It is a spectacle impossible to forget; it amazes the imagination and transports you to another reality.
More than 200 thousand plants have been planted in the park, artificial waterfalls, cascading gardens, and themed zones have been created. The Flower Dome conservatory presents virtually all the unique flora of the Mediterranean, while the Cloud Forest pavilion features a 35-meter waterfall surrounded by tropical vegetation that creates a complete imitation of an equatorial mountain climate.
But the most magical and phantasmagoric sight is, of course, the Supertrees - 18 giant trees made of metal, concrete, and glass. They can be seen from afar and attract tourists like a magnet, simultaneously recalling the planet Pandora from Avatar and the futuristic outlines of other worlds from science fiction.
The height of these Supertrees varies from 25 to 50 meters, they are scattered around the park in groups and, besides their decorative role, perform the extremely important function of creating a microclimate for the park. Hundreds of solar panels are attached to their crowns, collecting energy both for the magical nighttime illumination of these giants and for water circulation. Like real trees, these giants collect water from the atmosphere, including rainwater, purify it, and use it to irrigate lawns and flowerbeds.
The trunk of each Supertree is a steel structure supporting a huge vertical flowerbed where orchids, epiphytes, and hundreds of other tropical plants grow, pleasing the eye and purifying the air.
