The Fountain of Wealth in the center of Singapore is one of the city's most famous attractions. In 1998, it was even entered into the Guinness Book of Records as the largest fountain in the world. The size and monumentality of the structure are impressive - the area is more than 1.5 sq. km, and the height is 15 meters.
By the way, the fountain was not created simply to be large, beautiful, and attract tourists, but according to all the rules of feng shui. Every detail has been taken into account: a ring on a rectangular base, the combination of bronze and water, the direction of the jets - inward for an inflow of wealth. And the location was also chosen for a reason - it is the business center of Suntec City.
The Fountain of Wealth has long become a place of pilgrimage for guests of Singapore. Three times a day, the main fountain is turned off, leaving only a small fountain running. Then anyone wishing to "touch the source" can go inside, walk around the fountain counterclockwise, and touch the stream of water. It is said that this ritual should bring good luck and prosperity.
In the evenings, a magnificent laser show is held here, which can be watched both up close and from a distance while sitting in one of the nearby cafes. Spectacularly illuminated jets of water soar to incredible heights, mesmerizing with their dance.
