Mushrif National Park, the largest and oldest in Dubai, is located just a few kilometers from the emirate's capital and covers an impressive area of more than 500 hectares. It is a very popular place among both tourists and local residents.
The park features an incredible collection of plants, various species of trees, and shrubs. According to official statistics, there are about 30.000 of them in total. It is very pleasant to stroll among the lush greenery, next to babbling fountains and beautiful artificial lakes. You can also have a picnic here or grab a bite at the local cafe. If you get too hot, you can swim in several pools, one of which is reserved for women.
The park's main attraction is the International Village, where authentic houses built in the styles of 30 different cultures of the world are located. You will see what traditional dwellings look like in different countries, for example, an African hut, a Thai pagoda, a Native American wigwam, a Danish mill, and many other houses.
For children, there are playgrounds with swings, rides, and board games. There is even a small railway, and the bravest young visitors can ride a pony or a camel.
