Dubai is famous for its shopping malls and markets; for Arabs, trade is akin to an art form, which is why there are so many stores in the city, and they are all different both in form and in content.
Ibn Battuta Mall, located not far from the Jebel Ali Village area in the southern part of Dubai, is the embodiment of an individual approach to the design of a shopping complex. It owes its name to a legendary figure - the traveler Ibn Battuta, who lived in the 14th century and made grand journeys across all the lands known at that time.
The shopping complex is divided into six themed sections: Tunisia, Egypt, Persia, Andalusia, India, China - in accordance with the regions visited by Ibn Battuta. Each section is designed in the style of a particular country and has its own unique attractions. For example, in the Indian section you will see an elephant figure with an antique clock, in Egypt - ancient frescoes, in Andalusia - an original fountain with lions, in China - a large traditional sailing junk.
