As in any Islamic country, Christian churches are not particularly popular in the UAE. Nevertheless, the residents of Dubai respect their guests and visitors, allowing them to practice their faith in their own church.
The Anglican Holy Trinity Church is an interdenominational church. It welcomes not only Protestant parishioners, but also representatives of all other branches of Christianity, including Orthodoxy. More than 120 religious organizations hold meetings and services in this church, in an atmosphere of peace and respect for certain differences in doctrine. Every week, Holy Trinity Church in Dubai is visited by 11.000 parishioners of various Christian denominations.
The building of this church does not look like the church buildings our eyes are used to. There is no point in looking for the gold of domes, crosses, and tall bell towers. Holy Trinity Church looks more like a fort from the outside - a square building with a colonnade of red brick and small windows to let in less heat.
Inside, the church is very spacious, bright, and cozy. Beautiful stained-glass windows give the main hall a festive and solemn atmosphere. The numerous benches are traditional for Catholic and Protestant churches, where it is customary to sit during the sermon.
