Etisalat Tower, located in the Fujairah district, was once considered one of the tallest buildings in Dubai. No wonder, as of 1992 a height of 17 stories seemed simply fantastic to residents. But time goes by, and the development of architecture along with the emirate's growing financial capabilities made it possible to turn Etisalat Tower into a small structure against the backdrop of other giants measuring 300 meters or more.
From the outside, the tower does not seem like the pinnacle of design art, if not for one distinctive feature - the top of the building is adorned with a giant sphere, very much like a golf ball. What golf has to do with the telecommunications company Etisalat, which owns the skyscraper, is unknown. Probably, the local respectable residents' love for this game played a role here. By the way, this is not the only structure in Dubai bearing the name Etisalat; there is another tower, 185 meters tall, built in 2007, and it is owned by the same company, and there is a golf ball there too.
The interesting design of the building attracts many tourists. Everyone considers it their duty to take a photo against the backdrop of the tower and create some kind of "special effect" with the golf ball.
