All Saints Church in Fulham has stood on the northern bank of the Thames near Putney Bridge for 900 years. The building of this Anglican church is located on the eastern edge of the beautiful Bishops Park botanical garden, where you can see trees that are already more than 400 years old.
The facade of the church is decorated with ancient sculptures. The tall crenellated tower was built as early as 1440, while the other structures that have survived to this day were rebuilt in 1880 based on the design of architect Sir Arthur Blomfield.
Many bishops are buried in the churchyard - this is due to the church's close proximity to the former summer residence of the bishops of London - Fulham Palace.
Interestingly, in 1976 the building of this church served as a setting for the horror film “The Omen.” But despite the gloomy appearance of the exterior, the inside of the church is beautiful and bright. Everyone who comes here can expect a warm welcome, regardless of age, gender, skin color, or marital status.
In addition, concerts and wedding ceremonies are regularly held at All Saints Church.
