The largest museum of the history of technology and engineering in Ukraine was opened at Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in September 1998.
Its exhibition reflects the development of several fields of Ukrainian and global technical science at once: railways, mechanical engineering, cosmonautics, aviation, radio and television, telecommunications, computer technology, environmental management, firearms, instrument engineering, and navigation. Here you can even see the Soviet spacecraft "Vostok-4," as well as telemetry equipment and the heat-resistant armor of the famous "Buran." In total, the museum has 7 halls and 13 sections.
On the grounds adjacent to the building, you can see monuments and memorial plaques dedicated to outstanding scientists — Sikorsky, Lyulka, and Paton.
