Burj Al Arab (Arab. برج العرب, literally “Arab Tower”) is a luxury hotel in Dubai, the largest city of the United Arab Emirates. The building stands in the sea at a distance of 280 meters from the shore on an artificial island connected to land by a bridge. At 321 meters high, it was the tallest hotel in the world until another Dubai hotel appeared — Rose Tower — with a height of 333 meters, which opened in April 2008. Construction of the hotel began in 1994, and it opened to visitors on December 1, 1999. The hotel was built in the shape of the sail of a dhow, an Arab vessel. Near the top there is a helipad, and on the other side is the restaurant “Al Muntaha” (from Arabic, The Ultimate), both supported by cantilever beams. The hotel lobby consists of two floors. The first floor is used for guest check-in, while the second floor of the lobby contains shops and cafes, as well as a corridor leading to the high-speed elevators. In the corridor lobby, there is a unique mosaic on the floor.

Mina a’Salam Beach belongs to the hotel of the same name, which is part of the luxurious Madinat Jumeirah resort complex. The hotel itself seems to have stepped off the pages of the tales of 1001 Nights; it resembles a heavenly palace: refined Eastern architecture, lush greenery of exotic gardens, numerous canals and lakes along which light Arab abra boats glide.
'Mina a’Salam' translates as “peaceful harbor,” and it truly is very comfortable and cozy here, despite the fact that the complex contains many shops, spas, and restaurants, and even has its own market.
The beach of the Mina a’Salam hotel maintains the resort’s overall elite standard and is considered one of the best beach complexes in the world. Pearl-white fine sand and the turquoise sea have found a worthy setting in the form of exclusive service and maximum comfort. Sun loungers hide under snow-white umbrellas, saving vacationers from the scorching sun. And if you want to grab a bite, have some coffee, or chat with friends, beautiful Bedouin-style tents are at your service: around the small tables lie piles of cushions, sitting on which it is very pleasant to enjoy the surroundings. And the view here is one of the most stunning in the Emirates — it is from this beach that the finest panorama of the world-famous “Sail” hotel opens up, which from this viewpoint really looks like a dream ship sailing on the waves.
